What is BrainBoost Education?

BrainBoost Education offers innovative educational programming for kids in all grades and subjects. Whether you want tutoring, enrichment or an alternative approach to regular high school, we have programs for you. We welcome kids who have diverse needs and learning styles. We take pride in adapting programs so that each and every student receives education that works for them.

What is MathBoost?

MathBoost is a series of two, three-hour sessions designed to prepare you for your final exams in Math. Each grade has its own set of seminars that will centre on concepts and questions that are likely to be on the final exams. By the end of the Boost, you will be armed with an impressive array of exam strategies, have a better understanding of the material covered in the course, and be ready for many of the questions and tricks you might see on the exam. MathBoost is fun and energetic. You will take home a study guide so you can continue preparing for the final exam when at home. Tutors are available during and after the Boost to answer any questions and to make sure that you understand the material. Who is teaching MathBoost?

MathBoost is taught by Markie Giammarino & Jonathan Delano. Markie has been with MathBoost since its inception and will use examples from daily life to excite students about the material. Jonathan has a Math degree and has been tutoring scientific & analytic disciplines for over 5 yrs. He’s passionate about Math and will bring great energy to MathBoost.

How much does it cost?

$120.00 (inc. tax) for all six hours of instruction and a study guide to take home. Healthy snacks and drinks will be available. MathBoost registration is limited. We expect to sell out, so REGISTER EARLY to avoid disappointment.

When are the MathBoosts?

Grade 8 – Saturday, May 26 & June 2: 10-1pm
Grade 9 – Sunday, May 27 & June 3: 10-1pm
Grade 10 – Saturday, May 26 & June 2: 2-5pm
Grade 11 – Sunday, May 27 & June 3: 2-5pm

What is ScienceBoost 10?

ScienceBoost 10 is a series of three, two-hour sessions designed to prepare you for your Science 10 Provincial. The sessions are taught by passionate and engaging people who focus on bringing the material to life, using tried and true studying strategies. ScienceBoost is fun and energizing. By the end of the Boost, you will be armed with an impressive array of exam strategies, have a better understanding of the material covered in the course, and be ready for many of the questions and tricks you might see on the exam. You will also take home a study guide, so that you can continue preparing at home. Who is teaching ScienceBoost 10?

ScienceBoost 10 is taught by a trio of BrainBoost tutors. As specialists in Ecology, Earth Science, Physics and Chemistry, they take you through the entire grade 10 Science course. All three of them have a deep knowledge of the sciences, an understanding how the learning process works, and are driven to teach this Boost in a way that gets you totally pumped and ready for the provincial.

How much does it cost?

$150.00 (inc. tax) for all eight hours of instruction and a study guide to take home. Healthy snacks and drinks will be available. ScienceBoost 10 registration is limited. We expect to sell out, so REGISTER EARLY to avoid disappointment.

What is SocialsBoost 11?

SocialsBoost 11 is a series of two, three-hour sessions designed to prepare you for your Socials 11 Provincial. The Boost is taught by a passionate and engaging teacher who will focus on bringing the material to life, using tried and true studying strategies. SocialsBoost 11 is fun and energizing. By the end of the Boost, you will be armed with an impressive array of exam strategies, have a better understanding of the material covered in the course, and be ready for many of the questions and tricks you might see on the exam. You will also take home a study guide, so that you can continue preparing at home as well. Who is teaching SocialsBoost 11?

SocialsBoost is taught by the one and only Chris Griffith. Chris is a Humanities tutor at BrainBoost, a certified teacher from Britain, and an avid Ultimate Frisbee player. Chris’s passion for Humanities and his deep understanding of how the learning process works, drives him to teach this Boost in a way that gets you totally pumped and ready for the provincial.
