Launched from Tuesday morning’s Leadership mini-POD (Tuesdays 9-10 AM),Brainboost is kicking the year off with some back-to-school community initiatives. In the lobby you’ll see a beautifully designed donation box that is there for any old/excess school supplies to be donated to the Writers’ Exchange; a non-profit that supports Vancouver’s inner-city kids with their schoolwork. In previous years, the Writers’ Exchange has been thrilled with our donations of school supplies, so please feel free to bring them by our waiting area and drop them off.
In addition, our Leadership team will be baking all sorts of delicious treats to help raise money for our cause of the month, the Malala Fund. Created by the youngest Nobel prize laureate ever, Malala Yousafzai, the Malala Fund supports projects worldwide working to create equal education opportunities for all people. Focusing mainly on the developing world, the fund strives to lower the barriers for girls to attend school. It provides proper supplies, safety and academic support to help girls learn. If you smell a delicious treat baking at Brainboost, feel free to grab one and donate towards this worthy cause.
