Planning 10 can be a drab class, but never with Ivey at the helm! This past term she partnered with our local bank, Vancity, to discuss the basics and importance of banking and budgeting.  They went over crucial real life topics like:  why students/people should research a Financial Institution before investing their hard earned money in it,  the different accounts and benefits a bank provides, and how to write a cheque, and how to be financially savvy. The class particularly enjoyed the savings account calculator, where they entered how much they want to save in X amount of years and it calculated how much the students need to put in their savings account every month to reach their goal. Our Planning 10 and Grad Transitions classes provides students with real life skills that will help them beyond the walls of BrainBoost.
