Animation comes in many forms: stop motion, claymation, drawing cell by cell, flip books, zoetropes, merging CGI with real video or making a fully animated CGI film. The goal of the course is to teach the basics of all techniques and then encourage students to become masters of their chosen tools. With many animation studios opening in Vancouver this is a great way to set yourself up for a satisfying future career. Peter will guide students through the material in a kind and flexible way, accommodating all types of learners. Contact us for more information.
Peter aims to make the classroom his studio where creativity is the leader of learning. Coming from a world of traditional Ireland and teaching in the creative hub of London, England, Peter has developed a broad range of artistic experiences. He has exhibited in Ireland and England through painting, media arts, performance and theatre and sees himself as much of a teacher as an artist. Currently Peter prints at Malaspina studios in Granville Island and exhibits at galleries in Vancouver. Peter values the role of the teacher as the facilitator to the student’s creativity but draws from his technical and expressive experiences to bloom the student’s unique ability. The arts define our culture and our identity and at Brainboost we are delighted to celebrate these qualities. Expect the fun of the carnival, with the sincerity of gallery.
