D&D Junior – Group A & B

Dungeons and Dragons is a table-top role playing game that hinges on creativity and imagination. While we battle dragons, settle debts and explore dungeons, you’ll hone your ability to improvise, solve problems, and work with others. How you choose to play and what actions you make will shape both your character and the landscape. Everyone is welcome, so sharpen your pencils, and roll for initiative. It’s going to be an epic year!

Your Teachers:

Nolan Sage – Group A

Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Nolan Sage is a BC certified teacher, holding a degree in Psychology & Linguistics, as well as Education. At BrainBoost, Nolan tutors a variety of subjects from the elementary to secondary level, with a focus on math, biology and chemistry. Nolan teaches in a way that gives students the power to create their own learning moments and strives to foster confidence and critical thinking within a safe environment. When not tutoring, Nolan is often found with one or more cameras in hand, creating distinct portraits or filming comedy sketches. Nolan’s interests also include music (guitar, bass, ukulele), long-form improv, painting, printmaking and tacos.

Brittany Bell – Group B

Brittany Bell graduated from UBC with a degree in English Literature, and then later from UBCO with an Education degree, specializing in Elementary. Experienced teaching the K-7 B.C. curriculum, Brittany takes particular enjoyment in presenting material in creative and engaging ways. She spent the summer as a wacky science teacher, using air pressure to launch rockets and creating slime out of household products. Sunny and enthusiatic, Brittany delights in word puns, stories, and learning new things. She believes that every child is a learner, and that learning should be fun. When not voraciously reading, Brittany enjoys creating elaborate origami sculptures, strumming on her ukulele, delving into video games, and seeking out nature.
